Community Impact Grant Guidelines

Grants are awarded for a wide array of activities that serve families, children, women, veterans, students and animals in the Walla Walla Valley. Sunny Day Charitable Foundation giving is guided by the interests and passions of our Trustees. Please follow the guidelines and timeline as outlined below. Letters of Interest and Grant Application forms and supporting documents should be emailed to info@sunnydayfoundation.org or mailed to Sunny Day Charitable Foundation, PO Box 2483, Walla Walla, WA 99362.

Qualifying organizations must be a nonprofit organization with a current tax exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) of the IRS Code and provide services in the Walla Walla Valley.

• Individuals
• Lobbying activities
• Political activities
• Funding for budget deficits or debt retirement
• Purchases or activities that occur prior to grant decisions
• Any organization that is discriminatory in its policies and practices in regards to sex, race, color, marital status, national origin, religious affiliation, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, veteran status, and age.

• Briefly describe your programs and the impact they have on the lives of the participants and the impact your programs have on the quality of life in our communities.
• Describe the area you serve and the number of individuals benefiting from this funding
• What is your support need or the problem you are trying to solve? Describe the project in detail with projected timeline.
• Describe the project budget and amount of funding requested.

• Completed Grant Application Form
• Current Audited Financial Statements and/or current Income and Expenses Statement and Balance Sheet Statement
• Latest IRS form 990

Grant Report Form

• Briefly describes the outcome and impact of previous grant award
• Due within one year of grant award
• Complete and return Grant Report Form
